Ingredients:
One Onion
One Pound Fat Free Ricotta Cheese
¼ cup Romano Cheese
½ Cup of Diced Fat Free Ham
½ Cup of Fresh Mozzarella Cheese
¼ Cup of Egg Substitute or One Egg
Salt and Pepper
1 ½ pounds all purpose flour
½ pound soy flour
1 Cup of Warm water
One stick of light Butter
1 Teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Take one diced onion and sautee in olive oil in a pan. Add one pound of fat free ricotta cheese. Add
one quarter cup of romano cheese to give it a salty flavor and ½ cup of Diced fresh mozzarella cheese and a half a cup of diced fat free ham. Add 1/4 cup of egg substitute or one egg.
Then add some salt and pepper-just a few pinches to your taste.
To make the dough- use 1 ½ pounds of all purpose flour and to make this even healthier we're going
to add ½ pound soy flour which adds some protein to the dough. Take 1 cup of warm water and a teaspoon of salt which we're going to dissolve in the water. Take one stick of light butter or butter alternative. Add soy flour to all purpose flour and mix together. Put this on mixture stand and use dough hook for this recipe. We're going to add couple piece of butter at a time and warm water and you're going to start slowly and add gradually as the flour comes together. Now you're going to take dough out of mixer and you're going to work it a bit so it doesn't feel so sticky. Take some extra flour here and use it as needed. Break a piece of dough off and we're going to roll it out fairly thin and keep flipping and roll out edges Use a biscuit cutter or a glass anything that'll cut your dough.
Take your filling and place in center of dough. Fold dough over but be gentle and pinch sides. Egg
wash dough and place in preheated oven (350 degrees). After baking for 25 minutes you have a nice low fat and healthy appetizer! |
