Stuffed Poached Apples

Ingredients:

2 Apples
One cup of Crushed Walnuts
One Cup of Golden Raisins
2 TBS Sugar
½ Cup Marsala
½ Cup Red Wine
Sauce:
One Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk

Sauce:

Fill a large pot of water and put your can of sweetened condensed milk (To make this sauce
healthy-use the fat free version.) right into water and boil for two hours. This will make a nice
carmalized sweet sauce for your apples.

Directions:

To start-we got about a couple crushed walnuts-you could do that in your cuisinart and we got
a bowl of golden raisins. Combine the walnuts and golden raisins in one bowl and add 2 TBS of
sugar and a dash, about 1 teaspoon, of Marsala and mix together. Next, we're going to peel our
apple. We're going to peel about half of apple and from the bottom core the apple and you want
to make sure to get all seeds out. You could use a little demitasse spoon to get the rest of the
seeds out. The demitasse spoon also works well to fill your apples. You want to pack the apple
with the filling and push it down with your spoon . Place your apples into a pan. Use the smallest
pan so you don't have to use so much liquid. We're going to use marsala and red wine-we're
going to do a half-and half-fill it half-way up the apple. Cover and put in oven at 350 for 45
minutes. When finished, plate apples and finish off with sweet sauce.
