There's nothing like a relaxing sail on the water. But time on a
boat can be even more precious when you're a kid who's
battling a life-threatening disease. This week on YOUR LIFE
we take a look at a foundation that helps give a break to
children and families who spend a lot of time in hospital rooms.
The Sailing Aboard Recovery Foundation-the concept was conceived in the summer of
2002 as a way to give families a peace of mind.
"Take me out to the ballgame" is now more than peanuts,
popcorn and cracker jacks. This year, a growing number of
fans are choosing healthy options over traditional gameday
favorites. While the standard hamburger or hot dog has by
no means left the building, sports fans of broadening
diversity and with increasingly sophisticated palates are
pushing stadium chefs to new heights of eclecticism.

Glaucoma is often referred to as the "Sneak Thief of Sight"
because by the time people notice a change in their vision,
the eye disease has already caused permanent damage.
Glaucoma is one of the most common causes of blindness in
our country. It effects nearly 3 million people. Although
anyone can get glaucoma, some people are at higher risk. They include African Americans
over age 40, Everyone over age 60, and people with a family history of glaucoma.

This week, YOUR LIFE's recipe puts a healthy twist on
Organic Cornish Hen with Veggies in Roasted Onion Broth.
Executive Chef Jeremy Critchfield from Nemacolin Wood-
lands Resort and Spa, shows us how it's done.
There are millions of healthy cook books out there but what struck
me about The Healthy Kitchen is that Dr. Andrew Weil and spa-
chef Rosie O'Daley provide interesting banter about their different
cooking preferences. But their diverse roads lead to the same
destination… the end result is a colorful and well-informed
cookbook covering everything from the simple to the difficult. My
favorite is the baked vegetable wontons..time consuming-but well
worth the wait!
