A million-and-a-half adults are wearing braces in the United
States. That's a vast leap from the estimated 300,000 adults
that submitted to treatment 30 years ago. Adults are the
fastest-growing number of orthodontic patients. Orthodontists

point out that self-consciousness over one's teeth can inhibit performance in all areas of
life. A couple of years in braces can yield cosmetic results that can make a major
difference in the way a person feels about himself or herself. To give you an idea of cost-
you're looking at about four-six thousand dollars-that includes x-rays, impressions and
follow-up visits. But for many patients, the end result is worth the cost. A few patients get
assistance from insurance.

There are nearly 300,000 children in America dealing with

Rheumatoid Arthritis, important signs for parents to watch for signs with their child include:
1) Joint swelling with pain and stiffness. This may be more pronounced in the morning or
after a nap.
2) Most commonly it affects the knees and the joints in the hands and feet.
